Summer Bash

Come see them shine.

Jasmine’s Beat is built on one idea: the dance adapts to the dancer, not the other way around.

Its dancers are nonverbal, blind, Deaf, in wheelchairs, kids through seniors, and most have spent their lives being left out of an ordinary dance class.

Summer Bash is the afternoon they get the stage, and a room that came just to cheer.

This year they’re headed to Disney, and getting there isn’t cheap. That’s what Bash is for.

Why Bash Matters

Bash is where the work of Jasmine’s Beat® becomes visible.

The classes, the practice, the friendships, the adaptations, the confidence, the waiting all year for recital day – it all meets the stage here. For many dancers and families, Bash is not just a performance. It is the moment their child gets to be seen doing something that traditional dance spaces do not always make room for.

That is why this event is free and open to the public. The room matters. The audience matters. The chance to cheer for these dancers, in a space built around them, matters.

Bash supports the continued work of Jasmine’s Beat® and Squirrel Space, including the troupe’s upcoming Disney performance opportunity.

About

Meet Jasmine

Jasmine Mathew, CTRS, is the Founder and CEO of Jasmine’s Beat®, an adaptive dance company based in Frisco, Texas, that creates inclusive dance opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. As a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with more than 25 years of professional experience and over 40 years of dance experience, Jasmine has dedicated her career to helping people connect through movement, creativity, and community.

After seeing how often individuals with disabilities and differing support needs were left out of traditional dance programs, Jasmine founded Jasmine’s Beat® with a simple goal: to create a space where everyone has the opportunity to dance, perform, and belong. What began as a vision for greater inclusion has grown into a program serving children, teens, adults, and seniors through adaptive dance classes, workshops, performances, virtual programs, and partnerships with schools, studios, hospitals, camps, and community organizations.

At the heart of Jasmine’s work is the belief that dance should adapt to the dancer – not the dancer to dance. Her programs are designed to meet people where they are and support a wide range of physical, cognitive, developmental, sensory, and communication differences. Whether a dancer is nonverbal, blind, Deaf, uses a wheelchair or cane, or lives with an invisible disability, Jasmine’s focus is on creating meaningful opportunities for participation, self-expression, and success.

Through Jasmine’s Beat®, Jasmine helps dancers build confidence, develop friendships, discover their strengths, and experience the joy of performing in an environment where they are valued and celebrated. Her work continues to expand access to the arts while showing what is possible when inclusion, creativity, and community come together.
